Bible Reading Plan (Day 83)

by

Exodus 36

The working of the Tabernacle continues! Bezalel, Oholiab and the rest of the people will do everything according to the Lord’s command. The Lord has put skill and knowledge so that everything would be done rightly. This proves God is sovereign even to the most stiff-necked people. But the people have been so gracious by giving all that they have for the work to be completed. They do it gladly and they even give more than what was needed!

Every craftsman that has his own task goes to Moses and basically tell him, “The people contributed too much!” So Moses gave a command to stop with the contribution for the sanctuary, because what they had was sufficient. And now everyone starts working! Sowing curtains, making holes on curtains, getting frames ready, the veil, goat’s hair flying everywhere. You know the works for the Tabernacle.

John 15

Again Jesus shows that he is the only Way. He is the true vine and the Father is the vinedresser. And to the branches, Jesus makes it clear that those who do not bear good (but bad) fruit, in Him, they whither then gathered and finally thrown into the FIRE by the Father.

But to those who do bear good fruit, the Father prunes from the branch so that they would bear more fruit.

Check this YA’LL: “IF you ABIDE IN ME, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

If we abide in the only Way we can ask for whatever we wish? Really? YES!

BUT, by faith in Jesus Christ so that the Father will be glorified. And not selfishly just to get something from Jesus when we pray.

By keeping His commandments we abide in His love, by abiding in His love we bear fruit. Fruit that will prove that we are His disciples, that Glorifies the Father and which gives us joy.

This chapter is so packed! Jesus gives another commandment: That we love one another as He has loved us. Then He says, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Hmm I wonder what the soldiers are doing out there right… now… Anyway.

God the Son calls us friend! Not to be all cutesy but because He made Himself known to us unlike a servant with his master.

Hear Here atheist folks! In the next passages, from verse 18 to 25, Jesus describes our Christian life. Not only that but He describes that if it wasn’t for sin we wouldn’t hate Him and the Father! If we Christians were of this world obviously everyone would love us (as is the case with the new age “Christianity.”) But the world does not loves us, because they hated God first. They hated Jesus Christ and the world still does. It’s our sinful nature that will always cause us to hate Him. The only way not to hate Him is if we repent and trust in the Savior. If we didn’t hate Him and no sin was in us, why would He come? But they hated Him without really any cause.

Brothers and sisters, we will be hated, we will be persecuted on account of His name. But the Holy Spirit brings witness of Him who was hated so that those who God has chosen would turn to Him and repent.
